Lovelies,
Honestly, it’s a god damned miracle I have been able to post anything of substance lately. For all of Bean Sprouts 4th month sleep went to shit. It started slowly but then snow balled into a major cluster fuck. Babe went from sleeping through the night to waking 7 times in a 10 hour stretch.
Four. Month. Sleep. Regression.
Fuuuuuuuck.
Any parent that’s gone through the 4 month sleep regression knows how difficult of a period it can be. The Sprout will be 5 months soon. We have now started gentle sleep training and things are looking up. Thank, god! I don’t know if I could have handled any more of that bull shit. So, excuse me as I wipe the drool from my chin, rub my blood shot eyes, and sit down to work on next weeks post. I need to start now. It will take a while to formulate great sentences that don’t just consist of the word- Sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep.
The Chicken
Oh! Hope you can sleep train to perfection and get back to your routine.
Parul,
Thanks, I hope so too! So far we’ve seen definite improvement. Hoping for continued success and no more sleepless nights.
Had a bit of sleep regression at our house recently, too. With my 7-year-old. Ugh.
Cyn,
OMG, lol! I hope to hell we nip it in the bud and there is little of this bull shit in the future. I know there will likely be SOME in the future, but like, not a pattern! Haha.

The sleep stuff is so hard. How can you think if you can’t sleep? Hope you all get rest soon.
Mel,
Trick question, you can’t. I hope so too. The sleep training is going well so far. Wishing for continued improvement and long stretches.

Not getting sleep is hard, especially when you have to be at work the next morning. Being that your in Canada, aren’t you still home? I hope you are able to take a nap, if you choose so, with your Bean Sprout. I’m not much of a napper and thus need my sleep at night. (Hubby doesn’t understand as he can nap.)
I hope he gets some semblance of sleeping at night back into his rhythm. As difficult as this is, know he won’t be this little forever and he will learn to sleep. I have found that this shit-sleep stuff is easier this second time around. I stressed with it and over it with my first, but many things I seem to take in a better stride. Things do get better! Says me, who has a daughter that is screaming herself to sleep for over a week now. 🙁
JustHeather,
LOL yes, I’m in Canada and still home. That doesn’t change the fact that not sleeping sucks ass. I have a hard time napping when he does because most of his naps are around 45 min. Not long enough to sleep or get much of anything done. He is growing to be so big every day, so yes, I know it will get better. Hopefully soon!
