*Trigger Warning: I am sharing my maternity photos today. This post, therefore, contains images of my pregnant self. Please be aware that by following this link you will see my pregnant bump. Be well*

Hello again Lovelies,

Those of you that have been following my blog from the beginning will remember that I celebrated hitting pregnancy viability at 7 weeks by sharing my ‘announcement photos‘… I like tradition so I’m celebrating fetal viability this week by sharing my ‘maternity photos’. This is the second post today: to read my earlier post, about reaching viability and our gender reveal, click -here-.

I did my photo shoot hella early, at 20 weeks pregnant. Most people wait until they are between 30-35 weeks to do this. I did it early because I SERIOUSLY showed fast. I “popped” at 10 weeks pregnant. There has been no hiding it. So partly to celebrate it, and partly out of fear of what I might look like later, I decided to jump in with both feet and get them done. Also, our halfway mark fell when we were on vacation this summer on gorgeous Vancouver Island, B.C. It is breathtaking there and I wanted to capitalize on the scenery.

I really wanted the shoot to feel more fashion shoot than family shoot in the vibe it gives off. My wonderful photographer friend Chelsea Banwell of Chelsea Dawn Photography-her homepage here– would call this more ‘editorial’. I have known Chelsea for years and years and knew she would know me well enough to be able to capture the essence of what I was trying to convey. We went full out- full hair, make-up, the works. It was a really fun day and the weather and lighting cooperated beautifully. Below you’ll find some of my favorites from the shoot (I chose 6 to share)!

….Oh. My. God. Right?! I love them. ESPECIALLY the last one. It’s so perfect. So there you have it. My wildly pregnant body! Hope you enjoyed them. Does it feel like my journey is more “real” when you see pictures of me and of hubby and now baby boy bump? I wonder.

(Incidentally, I was so worried about how I would like the bump as it continued to grow that I did the photos early, and it turns out I shouldn’t have worried. I LOVE the way the bump keeps growing and changing even though it’s getting to be soooo big.)
